Breakfast Briefing: New Supervisors and the Dreaded Firsts

Thursday, August 6 at 7:30 AM

View Schedule

Are you new to leading a team? Every single leader at some point started out with their first team that they had to manage or supervise. Many have the same questions such as "How do I lead a team?" or "Will they listen to me?" or "Where do I even start?"
This session is geared towards newly appointed managers or supervisors who haven't had a lot of exposure to leading a team. Oftentimes, they're asked to lead a team with no direction in where or how to start, and often spend the first 120 days "drinking from the fire hose." This session focuses on the most relevant administrative and operational tasks that any new supervisor will need to either be aware of or have exposure to.

At the end of the session, attendees will have a clearer sense of the answers to:
• What areas do I pay attention to as a new leader of teams?
• What should I do to become an effective and successful new leader?
